After more then 15 years at our present location (104 Quimby Street), and nine years before that across the street (121 Central Avenue) we are relocating a few doors down in next month. | Gold Award for magazine cover. Reprinted from: Parenting Publications of America. "Sip Of Summer Issue," This publication chose a unique way to illustrate a story on how to find childcare and played with a Mary Poppins theme. The photo by Dave Rossi of the chimney sweep is "technically superb". The body is placed to create a well-balanced cover, and the tilt of the head invites viewers into the story. Dave’s Photos Receive Top Honors at NJ Photographers Convention 2 Years in a Row Dave had a nice surprise at the Professional Photographers of New Jersey convention held in Atlantic City March 14-16. Not only were three of his photographs awarded blue ribbons again this year at the earlier judging, but he also received five top honors at the March 14th awards dinner: the prestigious Zeltsman Award, for the highest cumulative print score in the state; the Kodak Gallery Award of Photographic Excellence, which will be displayed at EPCOT in the “Innovations West” building through December 15, and also for the second year in a row, the following three: Court of Honors Award for the highest scoring commercial image; the Fuji Masterpiece Award of Excellence; and the Commercial Image of the Year award. The convention was held at Caesars Hotel in Atlantic City, and the awards banquet took place on March 14th. Dave was invited up to the podium five times that evening to accept these prestigious honors as several hundred of the top NJ photographers looked on. These new awards are displayed at Dave’s studio and will augment the many awards he has received over the past several years. Dave is most proud of the fact that his award-winning images have all been created for clients, not for competition. Other honors he has received include several national and state blue ribbons, two prestigious International Loan Collection awards, one of which was featured in The Professional Photographer magazine, and the Courts of Honor from the New York Society of Professional Photographers and The Professional Photographers Association of New Jersey. Dave has been an established photographer since 1980 and has had his studio location in Westfield since 1984. In 1988, he was awarded a CPP, Certified Professional Photographer, by the Professional Photographers Association of America. |
